Belif's New Launch
I know I've been talking about this brand a lot on my Instagram feed lately. I just can’t help myself when it comes to Belif. Their products are THAT good! They just launched ANOTHER product (their aqua bomb sleeping mask), I thought I’d go over it today, along with some more thorough reviews of the pore cleaning line, as promised... This brand has been killing it lately.
Aqua bomb sleeping mask*: Before I go into it in too much detail, let me just summarize for you. This is a jelly texture sleeping mask that acts like memory foam. Once you dip into the mask, it bounces back to its original form within a few hours, and looks like it was never touched!
I wanted to give a little backstory so you can understand why I’m so excited about this mask. So a little while ago I was introduced to Erno Laszlo’s memory sleeping mask by @pdxbeautiful. Julie kindly made a little sample for me, and to my dismay, I fell in love with it. It easily beats my go-to water sleeping mask from laneige, because it gives me about 10x the moisture my dry skin craves. But here’s the thing, unlike laneige’s mask ($25 for 2 oz), erno laszlo’s is way out of my price range ($95 for 1 oz). I use a sleeping mask every single night because my skin is THAT dry. I simply can’t afford to use EL’s every day.
Fast forward to last week and I was DELIGHTED to find this new Belif mask is as good, actually quite a bit better, than the one from EL! Not only is it wayy more affordable ($34 for 2 oz), but the ingredients are higher quality too. The jelly texture behaves in exactly the same way as EL's mask, and I get even better effects from it! In no way am I trying to imply that Belif’s new mask is a copy of Erno Laszlo’s. It’s clear to me that they’re vastly different. The only way they resemble each other is texture. I'm thrilled that Belif came out with such an amazing product that leaves my dry, dehydrated face smooth, moisturized, hydrated, and bouncy. At this point I see no reason at all to purchase from EL when Belif’s mask is better and so much more affordable. 😍🙌
Here are some ingredient highlights:
-Napiers Aqua Formula: Contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin.
-Lady's Mantle: Moisturizing herb used since medieval times by European women to keep their complexion smooth and youthful.
-Scottish Heather: Soothing herb known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
It also has oat kernal extract & calendula extract, two soothing botanicals that are amazing for sensitive skin! They help calm redness, hydrate the skin deeply, and soothe any irritation.
All in all, this is my go-to sleeping mask now. I’m no longer purchasing Laneige’s water sleeping mask, simply because it doesn’t moisturize me enough. This Belif aqua bomb sleeping mask is my dream come true, and at an affordable pricepoint as well.
PORE CLEANER RANGE
Belif's pore cleaner range wasn’t made for my dry, dehydrated skin and yet I’ve fallen in love with it anyways. 😍 When a formula is THIS good, apparently it can even transcend skin types. I would still recommend this line more to my oily skin friends... but I was very impressed that it didn’t strip my dry, dehydrated skin! This entire range is perfect for bringing with on a long trip. When my skin is congested, clogged, or breaking out and I’m in need of a deep cleanse, this is my go-to...
Pore Cleaner Foam Cleanser* - I’m not usually a fan of foaming cleansers but this one is lovely! And definitely on the gentle side of things! It’s alcohol free and it has calendula and oat flower extracts for their calming properties. This cleanser is also PH balanced so I feel like that makes all the difference in the world! It might be my favorite foam cleanser so far... Definitely a winning formula in my book. I tend to use this one after I cleanse with my Context Skin total oil cleanser but it can also be used by itself with no issue.
Pore Cleaner Bubble foam* - this is such an interesting product! It’s much grittier than Cellecle’s foaming mask, and the little particles are meant to exfoliate the skin. Imagine if a peel gel and bubble mask made love... their baby would be this bubble foam! ❤️ I love seeing the little dead skin cells ball up after I massage the foam off my face. It wasn’t as stripping as I was expecting it to be (compared to Farmacy’s bright on, this is way more gentle and pleasant) but I did need to immediately hydrate my face afterwards. It contains denatured alcohol as the 3rd ingredient which is unfortunate because so many people are sensitive to that. But that said, I was surprised at how gentle this was! Personally I didn’t have any trouble with it but I would recommend this to resilient / non-sensitive skin types. This is perfect for combo to oily skin, but also perfect for congested dry skin (as long as you hydrate afterwards).
Pore Cleaner Moisturizer* - this one also contains denatured alcohol pretty high in the ingredient list but ended up being my favorite product from the entire line! Similar to Glow Recipe’s moisturizer, I use this product like a serum instead of a final layer. It’s far too light for me as a moisturizer and doesn’t address dryness. But it makes an amazing serum, one that I keep coming back to! Basically it hydrates my skin like nothing else, it reduces redness, it calms breakouts, and it never pills on me. Definitely on my repurchase list! Absolutely gorgeous!! If you’re oily you could certainly use this as a moisturizer in the summer.
Many thanks to the @belifusa for sharing these with me. You know the feeling when you’re convinced that a product won’t work for you? That was how I felt about this new line from Belif. And yet I couldn’t have been more wrong! 🙌 I’m so shocked and happy that all 3 products worked for me, I was expecting them to dry me out completely and they did nothing of the sort. The formulas are all PH balanced and include a ton of gentle, calming botanical extracts like chamomile and calendula.
All in all, Belif is quickly becoming one of my favorite skincare brands because their formulas are so universal. I wish more brands would create hydrating, PH balanced, effective kbeauty products that are affordable! Belif is amazing, one of a kind, and I’m so glad I discovered them.
